1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the services of Sunrise Rentals Ltd ("Company Number: 12015347"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions, you may not access or use our services.
These terms apply to all equipment rentals, freight transport services, and any other services provided by Sunrise Rentals Ltd.
2. Services Description
Sunrise Rentals Ltd provides the following services:
- Freight Transport by Road (SIC 49410): Road haulage and freight transportation services
- Truck and Heavy Vehicle Rental (SIC 77120): Short and long-term rental of trucks, lorries, and heavy goods vehicles
- Construction Equipment Rental (SIC 77320): Rental of construction and civil engineering machinery including excavators, cranes, loaders, and related equipment
3. Equipment Rental Terms
3.1 Hire Periods
Rental periods commence from the date of equipment delivery or collection, whichever is earlier. The minimum hire period is one day (24 hours) unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Daily rates apply for hires up to 7 days
- Weekly rates apply for hires from 7 to 28 days
- Monthly rates apply for hires exceeding 28 days
3.2 Deposits and Security
A security deposit may be required before equipment is released. The deposit amount varies based on equipment type and value:
- Light commercial vehicles: £500 - £1,000
- Heavy goods vehicles: £1,000 - £2,500
- Construction machinery: £1,500 - £5,000
Deposits are refundable within 14 working days after equipment return, subject to inspection and deduction for any damages or outstanding charges.
3.3 Damage Liability
Important: The hirer is responsible for all equipment from the time of delivery/collection until return. This includes:
- Damage caused by negligence or misuse
- Theft or loss of equipment
- Damage during transportation (if arranged by hirer)
- Damage from overloading or improper operation
Normal wear and tear is accepted. A detailed condition report is provided at the start of each hire for reference.
3.4 Equipment Condition and Returns
All equipment must be returned in the same condition as received, fair wear and tear excepted. Equipment should be:
- Clean and free of debris
- Fuelled to the agreed level (if applicable)
- Accompanied by all keys, manuals, and accessories
Cleaning fees and refuelling charges will apply if equipment is not returned in acceptable condition.
4. Payment Terms
Payment terms are as follows:
- New Customers: Payment in advance or deposit required before equipment release
- Account Customers: Payment due within 30 days of invoice date
- Late Payments: Interest charged at 8% per annum above Bank of England base rate on overdue amounts
We accept payment by bank transfer, debit card, or credit card (2.5% surcharge applies to credit card payments).
5. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing (email acceptable) and are subject to the following charges:
- More than 7 days notice: No charge
- 3-7 days notice: 25% of hire charge
- 1-2 days notice: 50% of hire charge
- Less than 24 hours notice: 100% of hire charge
For long-term hires (over 28 days), a minimum of 14 days notice is required for cancellation without charge.
6. Insurance
Sunrise Rentals Ltd maintains comprehensive insurance on all owned equipment. However:
- Hirers must ensure they have adequate public liability insurance (minimum £5 million)
- Hirers operating our vehicles must ensure appropriate motor insurance coverage
- Proof of insurance may be required before equipment release
7. Limitation of Liability
Sunrise Rentals Ltd liability is limited as follows:
- We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses
- Our total liability shall not exceed the total hire charges paid by the customer
- We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
